This seems a little rushed, and I'd hate to see us take 1 step forward and 10 steps back if he's not ready in even a limited capacity. If he's coming along that well it's great. But I'd rather they let him heal up through the rest of June at least.

After his record hitting streak he has gone hitless in his last two games and has been striking out as much as Jose V. I think we need to trade him while there is still a market for him.
June 18, 200421 yr If he is back next week this is a huge lift and shows his determination. With Frank playing some first they can use him as a DH once in a while and then have Konerko to PH late in the game.
June 21, 200421 yr I'd love to have Maggs back, but if he's not 100%, there's no need for him to come back b/c I don't want him playing hurt or getting hurt again. Maggs is a huge part of our team and we're gonna really need him late in the season.

This from Cowley in today's Southtown: Jumping the gun Right fielder Magglio Ordonez, out since May 25 with a left knee injury, won't return tonight as he had hoped. Ordonez, who underwent surgery earlier this month to repair a small tear to the medial meniscus in his left knee, hasn't even done any baserunning or sliding yet to test the knee, according to Schneider. Ordonez said last week that he was hoping to return in time for the series against the Indians even though the original timetable called for him to be out until mid-July.
