Kerry just has not impressed me.

I'm gonna keep posting these polls every ten days or so to see how opinion changes on Soxtalk.

I voted for Kerry in hopes that he can jumpstart the economy again, like the Clinton years. Don't worry though, I can't even legally vote, so my opinion really doesn't matter as of yet.

I'll hold back on the rush of sarcasm and biting remarks that rushed to my fingertips...

 

however, you're kidding yourself if you think that Clinton had very much to do with the economic growth of the 90's. 100,000 jobs were created in texas alone in the last 7-9 months. Realize that economics transcend politics....politics are but a portion of what dictates economic direction.

 

besides that, decide for yourself what truly important issues you hold dearest, and THEN pick a candidate that claims to follow closely with that....don't hold yourself back with a simple bush or kerry vote.

 

 

The biggest irony of GWB is that his "compassionate conservative christian conscience" (damn good alliteration if you ask me ) is hardly reflected in his politics, whilst John Kerry's liberal agenda lacks any moral compass so that now government finances sex changes and gay marriages. The point being that we need to understand the middle ground a whole lot more if we're going to beat the current 50-50 devide in the US.

steve- At the yard sale staurday they had the game used jerseys like the marte one in your sig. They were pulling in 300-500 dollars each though. If iI had that kind of money I would have jumped all over one. Too bad I'm too young too afford that much for a jersey. Got a $5 Belle jersey, though.

Anyone but shrub. Since kerry has the best chance out of anyone that isn't shrub, he's got my vote.

What specifically has been done over the last four years that makes you pleased with the direction the country is going, hopeful for the future, etc.? I'd like to hear the reasons for Bush-love.

I am not a Bush lover or a conservative. I support him in this election because

1-I don't think abortion will be banned even if Bush is in office

2-If Kerry is elected there is a chance that gay marriage will be approved. I have nothing against gay people, but I am worried about the legal can of worms that the gay marriage precedent would open.

3-Bush doesn't have the answers in Iraq, but neither does kerry.

4-I don't want to see an administration change while we are constantly under terrorist threat.

5-The economy is headed in the right direction, no reason to make a change from that stand point.

 

Possible reasons why I could choose Kerry-

1-Definately no ban on abortion.

2-Bush might choose to invade more countries

3-A Kerry victory would end Hillary's chances for presidency.

 

I am not high on either candidate, but this is not the time for a change. Hopefully the democrats will through out a more intriguing candidate in 2008.
