June 21, 200421 yr I'll revisit a post I made about a month ago speaking of how the White Sox should get this guy. Well, his OPS is up to .921, alongside 54 RBI and 19 HR. It seems as it would be difficult to deal for him at this point (wasn't a month ago), but, revisiting the thought, would you deal for Griffey now?
June 21, 200421 yr He has about 5 more years on his contract. While he has been hot lately, he is starting to resemble Carl Everett in CF, and will definitely look like him at the end of his contract. It remains to be seen if he can remain relatively healthy and productive the rest of this year. I thought it was interesting when he said yesterday the homerun made him forget about the aches and pains he's been going through this year. Considering what he's gone through the last 3 seasons, mentioning this makes me think he isn't going to make it through the season. For a team with limited resources, he his far too big a gamble IMO.
June 21, 200421 yr we we're lookin to ship paulie over there... paulies not hittin too shabby either... there isnt much diffrence between them offensively... but, we do need a LH bat and a centerfielder with griffeys defensive capabilities... of course it would look like a good trade now however, what would have happened if griffy didnt pan out and got hurt again... ending his season.... wouldnt have been cool griffy and thomas on the same team, what a dream it would have been
