I did. But in the beginning of todays game he wasn't hitting his spots and not locating his breaking ball which is why he gave up 5 runs. Now that he's settling in, he's making our hitters look foolish.

He and Carlos Silva are similar pitchers. They both have insane fastballs that just drop. When they make a mistake, you hit it. You get a fast baserunner on base, you get in his head. When those two get in a rhythm, you can forget about it.

 

I assume he's made two big mistakes today, and we capitilized on them. That's good. Those 5 runs may be all he gives up, and those 5 runs may be all we will get.

Ha yeah. I just hope we don't give it back. I'm happy with Diaz just getting through 5. Let him try to make it through the 6th, but take him out if things start getting scary. Overall, Diaz has done a great job for filling in on such short notice.
