July 21, 200421 yr as we all know our next 22 games are against central division teams....we need to go 16-6 in these games.....its not asking too much, if we want to be a playoff team we have to prove it against our own division....discuss

We have the tools to play with and beat anybody in this division. Now we'll see if we can win some games that really matter.
July 22, 200421 yr we should win a BARE MINIMUM of 12 out of 22... and that is if our offense goes dead asleep and our pitching is poor.... we should have no problem winning 16 of 22... and should expect 16 - 19 out of 22.... im hoping that we preform in that winning range right there, 16 - 19... if shoey can pitch like he did last outing and through the first 2 months... we should be a serious threat

July 22, 200421 yr Author 19 outta 22? What the hell are you smoking? I agree, that might be asking a little much....unless we get on one of those sox grooves, but if we do then expect 6-14 the next 20 games

July 22, 200421 yr 16 - 19 isnt really asking to much... 16 being really solid... and 19 being the best... our offense has been putting it back together big time and our starters have been looking great.... we play...CLE 5 more times (i dont think that we will have a problem winning 3 out of 5 since 4 out of 5 are played at home and we are a much better team the CLE)... we play KC 6 times, no reason we cant take at LEAST 4 out of 6... we play 7 against DET we should win AT LEAST 4 of those... and we play minny 3 times in a series in our house, we should win AT LEAST 1 of those games.... thats 12 wins right there out of 22... and that is being VERY CONSERVITIVE... so 16 is very realistic... and 19 out of 22 is possible if we cont. to hit and pitch like we are capable of.... this team is without one doubt capable of winning 19 out of 22
July 22, 200421 yr Once Minnesota heads into August, I really don't think we need to worry about them. They've got a ton of games against the West, while we get a glut of games against KC and Detroit. I really think this past weekend really hurt Minnesota, as they couldn't even capitalize on our 3-1 series loss in Oakland! The hardest part of the schedule is over. I'd say the toughest part facing us now are the two series against Boston in August, but I say we split them. I really don't have any intentions to think Detroit or Cleveland will make much noise in this division either, so I think there will be absolutely nothing obstructing the south siders from nabbing a "free pass" to the playoffs. Let's just hope they don't "back in" to the playoffs so they're in rare form and kick some butt when they get there!
