It's obvious Buehrle and Garcia will be an automatic 1,2 combo for us come playoff time; but one of the guys must be dropped from the rotation and moved into the bullpen, since a team usually goes to a 4-man rotation in the playoffs.

Loaiza no doubt unless he puts together 5-6-7 really good starts in a row.

Why does he need to put 5-7 good starts in a row when Schoeneweis probably hasn't had that many good starts all season long?

im thinking shoe goes to the pen because he has been succesful there and has more experiance coming out of the pen but i hope garland is a starter because he can be dominant and i think he will shine in the playoffs

Shoey for sure. Just because I'm sure his arm will be tired of fatigue since he hasn't pitched 200 innings in 3 years. I would say for game 3, give Loaiza 4 innings, and let Garland pitch another 4 then you get shingo to close it out. Just my opinion.

well unless loaiza straights things out i dont want him pitching in the playoffs at all because he has been a 5th starter if anything this whole season except the 1st month

Yeah, that 3.68 ERA in May was awful. rolleyeyes.gif

They actually both have 8 quality starts.

So why does Shoeneweis, who has been worse in the last 2 months, get the nod over Loaiza?

Loaiza has not been much better than him at all, but to tell you the truth i don't really want either to get a start in the playoffs.

I can deal with that, but there is no logic towards taking Shoeneweis over Loaiza at this point in the season.

Shoey needs to be in the pen unless ELO gets worse...

Garland needs to be in the playoffs!
