September 2, 200421 yr The Marlins are about to sweep the Mets and get within 2 and 1/2 games of the Wildcard lead, with 6 games left against the leading Cubs. This team is really amazing and a lot of fun to watch. It gives me hope that Ozzie was around them last year, and he'll want to mold the Sox in a similar form. If you get a chance watch one of their games, they're exciting!
September 2, 200421 yr And I remember saying the Marlins aren’t going anywhere this year. I’ll gladly eat my words and start cheering for the Marlins because the Padres don’t seem to have it right now since they’re facing the Cardinals. Entire cubs series is going to be wiped out by Frances... If that does happen than San Francisco has a very good chance of taking sole possession of 1st since they're going to face Arizona over the weekend.
September 2, 200421 yr Entire cubs series is going to be wiped out by Frances... It's not like they won't make the games up though.
September 2, 200421 yr If the Marlins do get in they would be my pick to take it all. There's something magical about that team once they're in post-season play. Their first 4 starters are as good as any in the game. Their bullpen is much stronger then it was last year with Mota and Benitez. They're probably just as good offensively as they were last year. I hope they get in.
September 3, 200421 yr Yea, I picked the Marlins to win it last year in our litting school betting system type deal. I got made fun of in the begining, but i was the one with 50 bucks at the end.
September 3, 200421 yr Their bullpen is much stronger then it was last year with Mota and Benitez. And Billy Koch too!
September 3, 200421 yr Wouldn't that be weird if HE got a ring now? I'd be happy because that means the Marlins got the wild card, and the Cubs stayed home!!!
