Cheap shot

Jay Mariotti, King of the cheap shots, takes his cheapest one yet in today's

column. I wish I hadn't read it. I will supply no link, nor pollute these boards

with a quote. I will simply go on record as saying he is a king s*** asswipe

prick asshole in addition to a complete f***ing jagoff.

I haven't read the column, nor will I most likely, but I can safely agree with everything you just said.

Jackass Jay is a complete waste of newsprint and airwave space.

His time slot would be better utilized cleaning the transmitter.

Not just Mariotti, in Doug Padilla's daily trashing (buried 8 pages deep) he quotes a realistic Paul Kornerko: "Looking at the schedule a couple of months ago, you would have thought those would be big huge games,'' Paul Konerko said. "Now it's not looking that way, obviously. It's a little demoralizing.''. The headline writer turned this into

Demoralized Sox Playing for Pride

Remember that the Sox are 7-3 in the last 10 games, and played some very good ball against top teams. We should all be very proud of how they continue to compete but I guess the truth doesn't sell papers.

Wait...so the sox arent playing for pride, then what are they playing for? :huh

They are professionals, they play for money.

But even guys with settled contracts, like Garcia, Buehrle and Kornerko are still playing hard. I don't see them hanging their heads. I just think the Sun-Times spin is malicious.

The season has not been as successful as I hoped, and they sure can look flat against good pitching, but I have no problem with their effort or heart.

Someone link Mariotti's article.

Isn't it at Suntimes.com?

Oh, thanks.

Oh, thanks.

I don't know.. I just figure it would be there. :huh

Yeah, it's there and he says something along the lines of trading the Sox franchise for the Marlins. Apparently Mariotti was at the park yesterday, probably the first time he's ever been to The Cell.

I don't know.. I just figure it would be there.  :huh

I found it, he bashed the Cubs more than the Sox.

Is this really news to anyone...

Please just ignore then moron, we'll all be much happier.

Speakest thou the truth. I don't read him unless he's crying about his Cubbies,

and then only because I love to laugh at them. Then I read something like

that comment in today's column and I feel a lot like that guy in the yellow

sign in your left column. I really should stop. I'm ranting about him on the

internet and he's laughing all the way to the bank. :banghead :banghead

I didn't see what the big deal was at all...... had no problem with the piece.

Of course this morning on his radio show, he kept pointing out how Fransico was an Ex Sox player....like that had something to do with this at all.
