October 13, 200421 yr Matsui is the one hitter who really scares me in the yanks line-up -- He's all-around solid. Some of those other guys are good too.
October 13, 200421 yr Lofton homers to make it 7-0. You know when lofton hits a homerun things are not going good for you.

October 13, 200421 yr No no, perfect game all gone, you knew it was coming soon, Leiter and Mccarver were doing their best to jinx him.

October 13, 200421 yr Comeback! C'mon Red Sox! About Bellhorn, he never makes sense to me. I wonder if anyone in the majors has a bigger difference between ba and obp. I mean, I look at his stats, and I'm just amazed they add up. Last year, .353 obp w/ a .221 ba. This year the same, just better on both counts. What a weird player.
October 13, 200421 yr Maybe Bellhorn's timing just sucks. He always fouls off so many pitches but can't hit a friggin fair ball. Eventually he strikes out or walks.

Yeah, the odd thing is that -- although he walks a lot compared to an average player -- he doesn't walk as much as Frank, say, where you'd see that and say, That's why his obp is so high. Frank's k/bb ratio is roughly 1/1, Bellhorn's is about 2/1.

Off the top of my head wilkerson has a bigger difference than bellhorn. Wilkerson i feel will break out next year, if not the year after that.
October 13, 200421 yr :fyou 8-7 Yanks. Two run triple for Ortiz removes Gordon from the game. Enter Sandman blasts over the PA. One batter too late Torre.
