in their reports from the campaign trail yesterday, Cathy Crowly (spelling?) reports that Bill Clinton's approval numbers are currently higher than both John Kerry or George Bush!!!

Doesn't suprise me.

I never thought i'd be so happy to see Clinton back. Compared to Bush he's the greatest president of the modern era.

Just because he can get all the pussy he wants doesn;t make him a great president.

After weeks of getting called with annoying pre-recorded GOP phone messages on the other end (my pennance for having been long registered as an Independent and thus a potential swing voter no doubt), I got a pre-recorded Clinton call yesterday. It was prretty cool picking up the phone and hearing, "Hi, this is President Bill Clinton, and I want to talk to you about why this election is so important..."

He even got me to volunteer to drive people to the polls on Tuesday!

maybe someone here can explain to me why some, not all, Republicans hate Bill Clinton with a passion? It seems that the hatred started well before Monica, so what gives? I was probably too young to catch it at the time.

Even last nite, I saw Dick Morris and Sean Hannity (first question is why would I ever degrate myself to watching Fox News) tearing the guy up. He hasn't been President for nearly 4 years, the guy just came off of serious surgery... and they are still beating up on the guy.

How long will this last?

Some tend to hate on what they fail to comprehend.

I don't hate Clinton. Well, Bill. Now Hillary, that's a different story.

I think Clinton is full of it, but I also think that he's the best political speaker I've ever seen and probably ever will see.

That's why his wife will be running against Gulianni in 2008, book it.

Also... wasn't Clinton the first President to be elected without a majority of the popular vote? (Not receiving 50%)

Yes, but I don't think he took as much s*** as Bush has about the popular vote.

Clinton may have had less than 50%, Twice, but he always had a greater % than his opponent. The same can't be said for Georgie boy.

Your point? We're discussing why people hate Clinton. I don't think it has anything to do with him not getting 50% of the vote. Why don't you join us?

60 Kennedy

I think you meant 1968 Nixon. Nixon would have had a hard time running in '76. ;) In '76 Carter got 50.08%. In '72 Nixon got 60.67%, but in '68 he got 43.42%.
