October 28, 200421 yr I think some of it revolves around the new construction at the Cell the last few years... MLB and the home club like to give a week or two of lead time to finish off new work in or on a stadium

Major League Baseball does the best they can NOT to put teams in that situation. Obviously, that isn't always possible, but if you look at all the schedules, the warmer weather teams usually open at home.
