Baltimore wanted Vladdy bad last year, and we all know he didn't land there. With that being said. Look for Baltimore making a run after Beltran, with him in CF that leaves harriston and Roberts to play 2b.. They are not going to get rid of Harriston, roberts will become a tradable player.

Not in this thread, no, I haven't suggested Dye.

 

I'm just saying that I don't want Gibbons -- or, at least in that trade. IMHO, Konerko > Roberts + Gibbons + Prospect. That deal would be a whole lot better, IMHO, if Julio was included. BJ Ryan, meh, I think he's the reliever who I've heard bad things out of (clubhouse wise).

 

 

If we weren't to pick up anyone in the offseason, and Thomas wasn't ready to start the season, we'd be in quite a pickle -- however, I'd probably put Harris in center and Rowand in right, for the first month or so... *

 

(*NOTE - This situation is totally hypothetical, and IMHO, unlikely to happen. If this organization is sure that Thomas won't be back by opening day, they will find a viable RF replacement, at least a guy who can fill in for a month or so.)

 

BTW - I've never once even hinted at Joe Borchard being anywhere close to this team. If Borchard is even a backup on this team next year, we have some major problems (and I'm one of Borchard's backers, too).

CWSGuy406, we are going to have to give up more than what we get back with Pauly unless we can swing a 3 way trade for Randy.

 

ANd this way we fill 2 of our biggest needs with 2 above Avg players, mY biggest thing is trade pauly while we can get something for him.

If Baltimore were to include Julio on your deal, I'd definitely do it. Roberts/Gibbons (who I don't think is very good, but could potentiallly break out here)/Julio would be a superb return for Konerko...

I think Juilo might break the deal IMO, but I would take him over Ryan as well..

We mujst really think that Konerko is great. Get these three guys for the great Paul konerko. GIve me roberts and Ryan and you would still have to give more than Paul Konerko. If konerko is so great why in the world would we trade him?

a guy who can hit 30 HR and drive in 100rbi's is a bad option in RF..

First off you forget how much Ozzie likes Timo. Also I can't see him doing anything worth while anywhere next year.
