November 30, 200421 yr I've honestly never seen such a terrible worthless poster in such a short time. You just have to face that sometimes on this board, other people are right in certain situations. Maybe the death metal has finally taken its toll man....
December 1, 200421 yr I highly doubt you would, or did, get suspended for calling someone a moron. Not nice to lie Or lye, as the case may be. :rolly
December 1, 200421 yr Thanks for clearing the 3rd grade lingo that goes on here. I make sure to take not of that. Carla Everett= BUM? Better? Irony-making fun of scrubs as a nickname for Cubs by calling it "3rd grade lingo" while refering to Carl Everett as "Carla" two posts prior. It just keeps getting funnier.
December 1, 200421 yr God, how did KW let this guy get away.. OO thats right.. you have to be un productive and overpriced..thats why.. this guy would have come cheap. What the hell is your problem man.. You have added no value what so ever to this site, all you have done is come in here and piss everyone off.. I am having a hard time believing anything you say is what you really feel, and insted your intentionally trying to piss people off... Robert Machado??? Get the f*** outta here

December 1, 200421 yr Like most of the time you missed the point... :banghead Missing the point seems to be a common occurace today.
December 1, 200421 yr This is as good of a place as any.... Gene Lamonte was hired to manage the Phillies AAA team of Scranton Wilkes Barre.

December 1, 200421 yr If I missed the point of what your above post meant, then please... fill me in, because Ide like to understand what your point was KW. overpays For useless talent..
December 1, 200421 yr Just like if he were to sign Orlando Cabrera 2nd best SS on the FA market and paying him 6mil is overpaying??? Whats next you think Jaret Wright can be the next Roger Clemens?
December 1, 200421 yr 2nd best SS on the FA market and paying him 6mil is overpaying??? Whats next you think Jaret Wright can be the next Roger Clemens? Just because he is the second best SS on the market (and that's debatable), doesn't mean he is worth $6 mil. He isn't an OBP guy. Did you see some of the swings he took in the ALCS and WS? Looked like Uribe. And for someone who likes consistency...you should check out the numbers...not too consistent if you ask me. http://www.baseball-reference.com/c/cabreor01.shtml
December 1, 200421 yr Career Numbers Dellucci - .261 AVG - .339 OBP - .418 SLG - .757 OPS Cabrera - .268 - .316 - .409 - .725
December 1, 200421 yr Again, I refer to past players that once they left Montreal have had very sucessful carrers.. Mike Barett Mark Gruz Alou Are among the history that I go on with him. List the FA ss in order you see them
December 1, 200421 yr We're not talking about the order in which shortstops lie in the Free Agent market, we're talking about overpaying for talent. And paying $6 million a year for Cabrera is a joke, I'd rather stick with Uribe.
December 1, 200421 yr KW. overpays For useless talent.. Wait, so Kenny let Machado get away (even though he didn't, as Steff pointed out, it was Pre-Williams era), and didn't get him. But he overpays for useless talent? Is it me, or is something wrong with this picture. BTW - Uribe @ League Minimum, or whatever he makes (can't be any more than two million, I assume) is much, much >>>>>>>>>>>>>> than Cabrera at six (he's more likely to get eight because some dumb team will overpay for his ass).
December 1, 200421 yr We're not talking about the order in which shortstops lie in the Free Agent market, we're talking about overpaying for talent. And paying $6 million a year for Cabrera is a joke, I'd rather stick with Uribe. 5 Mil for Jose last year ok, but pay and up and coming SS a mil more is over paying.. Brillaint.. What else you working on?
December 1, 200421 yr You said that KW overpays for players, yet you keep repeating yourself that he should sign Orlando Cabrera. You also said in another post that you can't even compare David Dellucci and Cabrera, and I showed you numbers proving that Dellucci's are slightly better. Now, if you don't want KW to overpay for someone, why do you want him to sign Cabrera so badly?
December 1, 200421 yr 5 Mil for Jose last year ok, but pay and up and coming SS a mil more is over paying.. Brillaint.. What else you working on? No one ever said that move was a good move. I didn't like the move, but again -- it's easy for me to judge a move in hindsight. Looking back on it, there were really no other options. Uribe was way too unproven to be given the spot, and I don't recall many SS's available (remember -- Kenny had to decrease payroll last season). What would you have done? Realistic too, because I doubt Vladdy wanted to come here, and Colon obviously didn't want to (would've been the highest paid pitcher in Sox history, IIRC) be here. And, when I ask what you would have done, I'm talking shortstop-wise.
December 1, 200421 yr WE could of went out and gotten Rich Aurilla for 2 mil I think Seattle signed him for.. And that is who I wanted.. And look you save 3 million, and then we realize that Rich is not the answerr and play Uribe more..
December 1, 200421 yr Again, I refer to past players that once they left Montreal have had very sucessful carrers.. Mike Barett Mark Gruz Alou Are among the history that I go on with him. List the FA ss in order you see them I can name three players that that has happened to from other teams. It is really not very hard. Anyway, you want GOD to bat second in the line-up correct? A prototypical two hole hitter is suppose to have a .340-.360 obp and he is not close to that with his .306 obp. :puke Does not matter that i said this anyway. :headshake

December 1, 200421 yr So you wanted a guy that is on the downside of his career? Nice. NO.. jose would have been gone..
