Just because he is the second best SS on the market (and that's debatable), doesn't mean he is worth $6 mil. He isn't an OBP guy. Did you see some of the swings he took in the ALCS and WS? Looked like Uribe. You also said in another post that you can't even compare David Dellucci and Cabrera, and I showed you numbers proving that Dellucci's are slightly better. No one ever said that move was a good move. I didn't like the move, but again -- it's easy for me to judge a move in hindsight. Looking back on it, there were really no other options. Uribe was way too unproven to be given the spot, and I don't recall many SS's available (remember -- Kenny had to decrease payroll last season). What would you have done? Realistic too, because I doubt Vladdy wanted to come here, and Colon obviously didn't want to (would've been the highest paid pitcher in Sox history, IIRC) be here. It is really not very hard. Anyway, you want GOD to bat second in the line-up correct?
