SkokieSox
its pretty obvious if we signed him he would be nothing but a bench player some people need to calm down.... i know you all are wanting some big signing or trade to go down but until then dont start critisizing the small ones thinking that were doomed. Good point, not to mention that we are out are DH for the beginning of the season.

chisox05
Eh, low risk, high reward.. I wouldnt say he is a high reward. He has lost a lot of power and his hitting skills have deteriorated.

Low risk, high reward Most people thought JT Snow had lost his ability to hit really well...put him in the lineup next to Bonds and he hits .330. Maybe something like that could happen to Big Cat going back to a hell of a good hitters park. Crazier things have happened.

Not really. It's time Bonds was booted from baseball.

whitesox91403
I think it would be ok to let Big Cat come in and hit his 400th homer with The Sox and then cut him the very next day.

Basically what they did with jackson after he got his 1000th. But i think he got 1005 before they cut him loose. Could be wrong by one or two though. Yes, but then again it might be September 30th when that happens. I just get tired of this stuff that leans towards the "Ozzie factor." I agree we spend our resources on someone with a bit of a future and forget about aging players that Ozzie can have a margarita with after the game. The Big Cat is not needed in Chitown. chisox05
Not really. It's time Bonds was booted from baseball. Ummmm......It was time once he jumped dramatically in weight and hit 73 hrs........Obviously, the baseball world isnt as smart as I. Btw, i find it hysterical that giambi admitted that he took steroroids in december 2003 at a grand jury and denied it in and interview march 2004-ive never seen anything like it.
