December 8, 200421 yr Can't see the Twins resigning Koskie even after the Twinkies offered arbitration, there's a reason they went out and signed Juan Castro even though he's mainly a SS. Maybe the Sox could "gulp" "fly under the radar" for Koskie.
December 8, 200421 yr They already resigned Nomar and Walker and signed Blanco, who was probably our main catching target. Not a bad day's work. I was the one who predicted the White Sox would sign Blanco, and obviously I was very wrong. And I'm angry and frustrated about it too. The White Sox need a veteran catcher who's a defensive specialist and can call a good game, Blanco was the guy. What the Cubs paid wasn't outrageous and the White Sox fell asleep at the switch here. Blanco is, unfortunately, a nice addition for the Cubs. He can't hit but his defensive skills and intangibles make him well worth it. Bad move by the White Sox in not getting this done.

December 8, 200421 yr I think the Twins sole purpose in life is to torment the Sox and it pisses me off.
December 8, 200421 yr You don't listen.. Probably right. I just watch, and from where I sat, wow, do they need a veteran catcher who knows how to call a game and throw out baserunners. Worse, I don't see anything on the market, barring a trade. I like Burke a lot Steff, but see him as a very valuable 25th man ... on a team going for a championship, that is.
