Ozzie on Frank

Featured Replies

Tiny blurb in today's SunTimes said that Ozzie doesn't expect Frank to be ready before June. :o

Who knows, but it wouldn't surprise me. It's a difficult injury to overcome.

Hopefully, Frank won't be Grant Hill, or Bill Walton. Foot and ankle injuries are difficult to heal, especially when you are as huge as Frank. The healing process seems to be more unpredictable than injuries to other parts of the body. Wouldn't surprise me if he was ready on opening day, and it wouldn't surprise me if he is out the entire season, and has played his last game for the Sox.

My guess is it is somewhere in between. ;)

The trouble is that Frank's successor at DH, Carl Everett, weighs as much as Frank.

This pisses me off. Yeah, he's our HOF player...but why have we been paying him all this money when we could have gotten a lot younger marquee players...I'm lost

But anyway, if that happens would that hurt our season majorly?

yeah it would hurt us Hurt is alot better than Carl

idonno at frank's age i know Carl is only like 3 or 4 years younger and he wont put up an OBP close to franks but he can run a little faster and if he is in shape can hit the ball well and its always nice to have a switch hitter in the lineup

His contract gave him option years that he took. He could have been a free agent a couple years ago but took his option instead. He probably wouldn't accept a trade anywhere either. I personally couldn't imagine Thomas in another uniform. It would be as bad as seeing Jordan with a Wizards jersey on.
