Where does this trade leave Ross Gload?

Featured Replies

I think we should trade Konerko now and make a full commitment to our new style of play. Start the bashing, I don't care.

We could sign the three P's. Perez, Polanco, and Pryz. I'm confident in Gload. I know he has no power, but power got us nowhere lately.

A couple of weeks ago, Reinsdorf said the Sox do not see Gload as an everyday player. So, that tells you their thinking on Ross. Regarding, Delgado, I think I recall him saying that he wasn't a fan of the Cell, back in July.

I'll take his no power...because if he started, he'd likely hit 15-20 homers, easily.

In retrospect I should've said average power.

In retrospect I should've said average power.

That makes a little more sense

15-20 at first is not really average power. Contemporaries would include the likes of JT Snow, Tino, Tony Clark, etc. I consider 25-28 homers average power for a first baseman

IIRC, Gload is just happy to be in the bigs after spending an awful long time in the minors. The Sox just need Ross to continue doing what he did last year.

It's not like it was gload's fault he was in the minors that long. He was stuck behind stars and superstars his whole career.
