Anyone know what happened to..

Featured Replies

Last off-season the Sox signed him to a minor league contract, but he got injured (I think he tore his achilles' tendon) and missed the whole season. Does anyone know what his status is? Did he retire?

I'm not saying he could solve our #5 problem necessarily, but I seem to remember he was a pretty good pitcher at one time, and he'd be worth taking a look at in ST if he's recovered from the injury.

I believe he signed with the Red Sox and I think he pitched some last year.

KW is thinking of giving him a 3 year 6 mil deal.. he had one good season a while back, if they can fix his mechancis they can have him win 5 maybe 6 games this year... :rolly

Give it a break fella.

A little of your dripping sarcasm goes a long long way.

We get your point, 1000 times over already.

I did not see this.

I'd thought he was out of baseball all last year rehabbing the Achilles ... ??

If healthy, there's nothing wrong with a minor league invite. The more depth, the better.

Blood red oozing from his fingers right below the knuckle...

Who cares? :huh

You are correct, but he was on the red sox in 2003.

He missed all of last year and I'm assuming his career is pretty much done, but I'm sure he'd love for an opportunity. Key with him has always been health, typically his arm.

But when he's healthy he has a live arm. I hope he's not an option for the Sox this year unless he's willing to pitch down in Charlotte and hope he pitches himself onto the roster.
