whats next are the yankees going to change there name to the USA Yankees?

Well, at least they would be at least in reality. They do actually play in the USA.

The Angels dont even play within 25 miles of Dodger Stadium.

I just want to be fair thought. If the Cubs/Sox/Bears/Bulls/ Blackhawks moved to Schaumburg or the West Burbs, they would actually be FARTHER from downtown Chicago than the Angels are from downtown LA.

sort of confusing

I wonder what pro sports team is the farthest away from the city it's named for. Would it be the Angels with this name change?

Leno just ripped on them

"yea, that just rolls off the tongue"

I liked the team name California Angels a lot better.

To us old timers, Los Angeles Angels does not sound strange at all. At least they play in the same state.

Unlike the NFL Jets & Giants.

I honestly feel sorry for the fans...

If I was an Angel fan in Anaheim and they pulled this crap it would piss me off. I have a feeling that this is only going to hurt their fan base not help it.
