If your going for fest, you should do the hotel deal. Its a good price and you get everything.

yeah, its about $240 bucks for a weekend pass, a room, and it includes a home game ticket... (an excuse to go back)

fun

For airfare, I booked soutwest and got out there for like 170 roundtrip. Don't know if they still have the deal going on or not.

which airport is the closest to the hayatt? FFS, midway, or ohare?

right on :canada

Midway is closest to downtown. Also happens to be the only one southwest flies into.

As long as you take the train, they are both really easy to get to from the Hyatt. We'll be up at the Atrium bar both nights, and we all know how much you like bars ;) , come up and see us!

For night life

Rush street

Blue music at lots of places (House of blues for eg)

For day time

Art Inst of Chicago (if you like museums)

Navy Pier

Field Museum

Lincoln Park Zoo (it will be cold though so scratch it since it is outdoors though it is free)

Aquarium/Soldier Field/Planetarium complex

Anytime of the day

Magnificent Mile (Mich avenue)

Downtown near the river

Above Sears or Hancock tower

Sports related stuff

ESPN Zone near Michigan Ave in downtown

Soldier Field on the lakefront

Comiskey on 35th/Sox

Places to eat

Portillo's for beef sandwiches (yum)

Gino East or Giordano for Pizza (Chi style deep dish)

....Don't you get it??? We don't want you here.... :D

I must say ESPN Zone is the best place ever.

You have to go to RicoBen's Order a Breaded Steak .. Down the street from Hyatt

ALso you can go ice skating at Milliuem Park

It's Ricobene's, 60 E. Lake Street. Their breaded steaks used to be good but are not as good now IMO, especially at the satellite locations. You cannot go wrong with the beef or sausage sandwich with hot giardiniera though. I am also partial to their pan pizza, you can buy it by the slice. Ricobene's is a good, cheap way to fill up.

For the best (IMO) breaded steak near the ballpark ... La Milanese, 32nd and May, only open weekdays. Outstanding. The owner is first generation Sicilian.

Went to that place for the first time last sunday and I gotta agree with you on that. ESPN burger = Artery clogging heaven.
