In the win share thread I did some number-crunching & found that Pods actually increased his impact # from 03 to 04. Pretty significant since his avg dropped from 313 to 244. In 03 he scored or had an rbi in 71 games. In 04 he upped that to 83. Lee has such an impact in 92 games for the CWS in 04. If Pods can do that we should be in good shape. if and only if pods and those involved in the trade played a part in that success.

He's got a poor glove, is slow, has a bad eye at the plate, and strikes out... a lot. At 24, he's already got 4 seasons of minor league ball under his belt. Its possible he'll start the 2005 season at Birmingham (AA). And the 2006 season at Arbys."

Teams now practically reinvent themselves each year and forgetting the past is almost manditory. I feel a dump everyone and sign free agents mood this off season. Hell, I would have taken Keith Ginter, and would have actually been happy with this trade. Had we gotten Ginter, we'd be set for Spring Training, without bringing in another secondbaseman. We'd have one hell of a combo at second base with Harris/Ginter. I just don't see why we couldn't have gotten him, considering Oakland got him for just a reliever. Isn't it fair to say that Lee = Ginter, Podsednik (A year in which he has a happy medium of 2003 and 2004), and Vizcaino?
