Hockey anyone??

Featured Replies

I was listening to MJ&H on the drive home and they said Darren Pang reports talks have heated up so much that some teams are preparing to head back to work. Panger also said NHL could be back on by Feb 7th....I missed the interview with Panger...anyone else hear it if it already came on?? I for one will be pumped. I am missing Hockey big time....it will be worse after football is over... cause all thats left is Basketball pro and college and I don't watch either.

I hope they dont start playing again. That way i dont have to watch the stupid highlights on sportscenter.

My sentiments exactly.

How about staying locked out permanently?

That'd suite me just fine.

No offense, go f*** yourself guys. Some us actually want hockey. Don't even bother chiming in on these threads.

A friend and I were talking about how awesome it would be to just have a single elimination tourney with every team instead of finishing the season up. Then just continue on as normal next season. (Even though the Hawks would probably be out in the first round)

Kenny, this is a baseball board (Yes I realize this the "other" Sports section.) How many more "I miss Hockey" pity threads do we need?

Didn't Carolina's owner basically say the season is over and they will be offering refunds soon?

I'm quite fine with no more Bulls bandwagon threads. :)

Damn people that have been following this team for a whole 3 weeks.

Even though I'm not a big fan of hockey, you guys that are saying it should be locked out forever are just being plain stupid in my opinion. What if the tables were turned and baseball was on strike again and people were saying "Good, I don't like baseball. Hopefully the MLB never comes back." How would you feel then?

I wouldn't feel anything really, it's they're opinion.

I'm entitled to saying hockey sucks just like anyone else can say basketball sucks.

i agree i dont watch hockey unless theres that day where nothing is on except hockey

How many have there been? Five, at most?

Like Krush said, if you don't like it, fine -- but can't you guys just stay out of the thread, rather than the one liners of "Hockey sucks", "I don't like hockey, so it's ok with me".

Fine, you don't like hockey. Then don't even look into a thread labled "Hockey, Anyone"?

I'd rather watch TLC.

We do it, just to provoke you, of course.... :P

Just kidding.

You're right, I forgot my manners.

Next time someone asks me if I want any hockey, I'll say what my mom always told me to say; "No thank you." ;)

Jesus people, quit taking this so personal.

Sorry, us hockey folks aren't too happy at this time -- didn't mean to come off as an ass. We've had our bumps as of late, but I still hope we're cool? :cheers

Anyways, when you hear ESPN, and every other sports station, and every radio station, tell you (just about) everyday about the hockey lockout, and how someone always manages to get that one sneaky remark in ("You mean they haven't been playing? Wow, where have I been ..."), it gets a bit aggravating. Hockey is a great sport, it's unfortunate that we have two sides that are greedy and don't have a clue what the words "give-and-take" mean...

Don't worry about it.

I tried to get into Hockey years ago, but it reminded me of Soccer too much (which I consider a kids game. I guess the Soccer people hate me too. :P )

Well you guys act like 5 year olds. It's a thread you want no part of, yet you have to make a point to shoot out some s*** to the actual hockey fans. Just think if baseball was gone for you, you wouldn't want people throwing this crap around on you all the time. Besides, it's all stupid talk, nothing but "f*** hockey. hockey sucks. f*** it." Worthless posts by everyone.

BTW, i didn't start it, only responded in it. And there is a new thread because there were recent meetings.

Wait, Chicago has a basketball team?

Its too bad there wasn't a WNBA lockout too, that way hockey fans wouldn't feel so bad. Cause there'd be two strikes to make fun of. Or would it make them feel worse?

Anyway, I think it almost would be better for the sport for the NHL to go a year without a game. If approached correctly - with a few teams contracted, it could be a "new" NHL. There's a product rollout opportunity there.

I would love some hockey this season, but I doubt it.

:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

I wouldn't mind seeing hockey come back. Hopefully the loss of most of the season taught both parties a lesson that excessive greed benefite no-one.

Oh........wait.........they didn't learn that lesson in 1994 so why would they learn it now.

:rolly
