Except that King is praising most of the people he played against, even saying some might be better than Ichiro. Only Iguchi was singled out, b/c he supposedly couldn't catch up to a ML fastball. We'll see, like I said, it could very well just be spin by the Cards.

The fastball seems to be So Taguchi's issue too. However, if you look beyond the numbers-So's fundamentals are a real asset to La Russa's club. I hope to see the same from Gooch. I am hoping for Kazuo-like numbers next year hopefully.

not that thats a bad thing

Its the normal golf-stance approach that many batters have. No leg kick or anything. He holds his hands up high though.

Also gets most of his power from his legs.

Yeah, there should be, especially in Fukuoka. I know they'll be showing a lot more Sox games live in Japan now that 2 Japanese stars are on the team. I was sure getting sick of watching the Mariners and Yankees 5 times a week.

That's awesome news... Hopefully, our oversees fanbase is going to build a little bit, and we'll have some all-world fan favorites...

I remember they televised Yankees and Mariners games constantly because they have Japanese position players. With Iguchi playing every day and Shingo (hopefully) closing alot, we should get the same treatment.

 

I don't know how much we can attribute to Iguchi because we added so many others, but I expect attendance to go up this year with this kind of addition.
