January 31, 200521 yr I know the deadline is a few weeks away, but if they come through February still in playoff position, or real close, should they make a trade for the playoff run?
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) I know the deadline is a few weeks away, but if they come through February still in playoff position, or real close, should they make a trade for the playoff run? Their 1st round pick goes to the Suns next year, and after that, the picks that they get (bottom 1/3 of the first round) will be worthless. They're not going to trade players from this core: Eddy Curry Tyson Chandler Kirk Hinrich Ben Gordon Luol Deng Andres Nocioni Chris Duhon They have nothing to trade as far as I can tell.

No, but I think they have some expiring contracts. A serviceable big in Harrington and/or Antonio Davis. And I think they still have their mid-level exception, don't they? it's not always about players...
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Frank Williams for KG???? haha...no way we give up frankie that cheap...
January 31, 200521 yr We still need to upgrade size wise at the two guard. Raja bell would be perfect.
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) Thing is...what can we trade. Read my first post Honestly, I think they stay put.
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) Thing is...what can we trade. You see the trade someone came up with on bbb? BULLS TRADE: Chris Duhon, Adrian Griffin. UTAH TRADES: Raja Bell, 2nd round pick. TRADE ACCEPTED We would need him if we faced the celtics in the first round.
January 31, 200521 yr Another thing, not too many Eastern teams have guards that post up frequently. I don't think I would do that. Duhon is the guy that makes the offense click.

And I think they still have their mid-level exception, don't they? it's not always about players... Antonio Davis is making a s***load of cash, and he's almost 37 years old. Nobody would take him...not even Isiah Thomas. Okay, maybe Isiah would take him. Othella Harrington might get us a 9th man for the bench.

January 31, 200521 yr we arent going to win the championship this year, these guys are young. Just leave the team as it is.
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) Othella Harrington is a 9th man for the bench. And he does just fine there. We need to bring him back next year and i would like to see the bulls pursue jaric.
January 31, 200521 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) We still need to upgrade size wise at the two guard. Raja bell would be perfect. Raja Bell is a wonderful bench player. I've always liked him from what I've seen in the playoffs with Philadelphia and Dallas. Utah is dangerous when everyone is healthy. I don't think that they'd even consider parting with Bell. A similar player is precisely what we need, not that this year actually means anything considering that we have 4 rookies in the 8 man rotation (not including two big guys who would just now be graduating from college).

He has an expiring contract and they are most likely going no where this year, I think you may see him traded before the dead-line to someone.
February 2, 200521 yr DO NOT TRADE ANYONE! That is what Pax shoud do. This team is perfect the way it is. We are deep at every position.
