March 11, 200521 yr http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1521135,00.html Somebody else here is sure to be a fan of his. I love the guy, and this is just very sad news to me.
March 11, 200521 yr Some of my favorite skits of his were his Pope jokes. One with the Pope water skiing and then the other where they were carrying the Pope around and they needed the "spare" and out comes a little guy from the "trunk" area of the chair.
March 11, 200521 yr I'm so missing that show. And he never revealed what happened to the missing half finger...
March 11, 200521 yr QUOTE(winodj @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) I'm so missing that show. And he never revealed what happened to the missing half finger... My mom said she read somewhere when he was a kid it was blown off from a bomb or something like that. One of his on going jokes was that when he was a kid and they played cops and robbers, he was always the robber with the sawed off shotgun (or something like that is how the joke went).
March 13, 200521 yr s***, that is bad news. I was a big fan of Dave Allen At Large. Used to watch him on Channel 11, Sunday nights if I remember correctly. RIP Dave.

That line-up was the only great thing on TV on Sundays, and it was what I looked forward to most next to Creature Features and Son Of Svenghoolie. Edited March 13, 200521 yr by Kid Gleason

March 13, 200521 yr Author QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Sunday nights were my favorite TV night for a good while because of that line up! Those were special times, weren't they? I was always wiped out going to school the next morning though! LOL! But it was always sooooo worth it. It didn't help that the good Doctor was a looooooooonnnnnnnggggggg show, and sometimes they would run a couple episodes together.
March 13, 200521 yr Never got into Dr. Who. Right to sleep after Dave. That hour of TV was just about the only thing my brother and I ever had in common. I was into sports, music and drawing and he was into science fiction, fishing and computers. Python and Dave were our only shared interests.
March 13, 200521 yr Author So your brother stayed up for the good Doctor I should hope. I just added some Dr. Who into my Netflix. I love that show, great stuff.

School Monday mornings were quite painful cuz of that lol. That's why I loved summer Sunday nights .
