not the great Arnie Munoz! say it ain't so. Not the greatest curve ball pitcher in whitesox history. He will never make it, book it.

Looking forward to seeing Baj close this year at Charlotte.

Yeah too bad Jeff didn't have a chance this spring. He pitched well in the few chances he got.

I am kind of wondering where Matt Smith is going to pitch this year. He has looked pretty damn solid when I have seen him pitch.

What ever happened to Sanders and Stewart, they were both on the roster in 2003 I believe.

Stewart has yet to fully recover from that line drive shot he got in bmore. As for Sanders he started out the 03 season with the sox but was sent back down because of his mediocre performance and plus they needed someone to go down in order to bring up a fifth starter, if I remember correctly.

I think he is too far down the line to ever get a chance with the Sox. Being a right-handed reliever is about the worst thing you can be in the Sox minor league system right now.

Actually, I was just wondering if he was pitching in Charlotte or BHam?

If I had to guess, he will be a set up man for Baj, but that is a tough call because there are a lot of pitchers to decide between AA and AAA. There are so many cusp swing pitchers that they have to decide whether they are starters or relievers before they even look at what to do with guys like Matt Smith.

This from Baj

"I just look at it as a great opportunity to be here," said Bajenaru prior to the cuts. "It's my first big league Spring Training. I know that (general manager) Kenny (Williams) wants to win and he's going to get the guys he needs to win.

"For guys like us, most likely we are going to start in the minor leagues. That's fine. It gives us more incentive to work and get back to where you need to get to."

I can't believe that Bajenaru get sent with hardly a look. But somehow Bobby Jenks and Felix Diaz are still around. Yes, I know it's Spring Training, but what gives?

Maybe Bajenaru needs to pick up spanish as a second language to have a chance with this bunch. He will be called up by May 1 2005.

Stewart is starting today against the Royals. I was at that game in Baltimore. He barely flinched after getting hit and threw the runner out at first.

Actually he is bi-lingual. So he has that going for him.

I agree. Wish Baj had the chance to really show what he is made of this spring. He just recieved his first save and is burning it up in AAA. I see a move up in his near future. Keep up the good work Baj :cheers

I am sorry, but I couldn't wonder how long you had to wait to make your response? Thought this thread was done. :bringit
