Jabroni
didnt Beane mention wanting him in Moneyball? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have never read Moneyball but DePodesta wanted Johnson since he traded for him. I assume Beane wanted him as well. Johnson had a sick OBP in the minors (.383) and he was included in the Foulke/Koch trade. http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/2002/1203/1470567.html In exchange for Koch and two minor leaguers, the Athletics get White Sox closer Keith Foulke, catcher Mark Johnson, minor league right-hander Joe Valentine and cash. WilliamTell
lol Mark L. Johnson, I remember him. Not very good in video games, slightly worse in real life.

The Critic
Smells like a minor-league catching depth move. If Mark Johnson is up with the major-league squad at all this year, it would mean they had a LOT of injuries and/or failures there. ...hope Michael Barrett doesn't have to change uniform numbers AGAIN....
