Sox vs Seattle 3/27

Featured Replies

I haven't signed up for the audio feed yet this year. I am still getting it off last year's subscription. Sounds like Matt Thornton pitching. Ozuna back up. Base hit. Uribe to 3rd.

Timo Perez - forward K. 6-1 Sox.

Ozuna has been sick this spring. He's a friggin' singles machine.

Ichiro, Winn and Beltre up in the bottom of the third gainst Contreras. Ichiro hitting .531. Uribe throws out Ichiro. 1 out.

Randy Winn smokes a gapper into right center. Seattle's second hit of the game. 1 out, man on 2nd.

Adrian Beltre smokes one up the middle. 6-2 Sox. Beltre walked in the first. Sounds like Contreras might need to have his head shaved on one side to even things out. Richie Sexton singles hard up the middle. 1st and 2nd.

Ozuna with two hits today, if he doesn't make the team there is something wacky going on.

Bret Boone up. Davis tried to pick off Beltre on second and ball went into short center, but the runner did not advance, as the play was backed up. I am not sure if it was Uribe or Gooch who backed up the play. Boone wasks. Sacks juiced. Ibanez up. 1 still out.

Ibanez can't check on a pitch in the dirt. 2 out. Sounds like a patented Contreras forkball. Dan Wilson up.

There is no way he doesn't make the team. Ozzie and KW were even talking about him before the pre-season started.

Contreras walks Wilson on 4 pitches. 6-3. 2 out bases loaded. Willie Boomquist up.

Bloomquist single through the left side. 2 runs score. Ozuna cuts the ball off and nails Boone at second. End of 3, 6-5 Sox.

Apparently Contreras still has his head up his ass. Dan Wilson is not the type to pitch around and walk on 4 pitches.

Defensive replacement for P. Reese at short - Ramon Santiago. Ben Davis with a gapper into right center. Hit very hard. Nobody out, man on second.

Contreras has thrown 70 pitches through 3 innings. Passed ball or wild pitch to Iguchi to make the count 2 and 2. Davis to 3rd. Iguchi with a line singe to right. 7-5, Gooch on 1st. Rowand up. He is 2 for 2, with an infield single and a double in the corner in left

Rowand takes a ball on an 0-2 count and Iguchi steals second. Aaron then pops out to short right. 1 out, Gooch on second. Konerko up.

Iguchi is really starting to hit now. :headbang

Konerko with the excuse me pop up to the first baseman, 2 out and Dye up.

Dye takes a called third strike on a full count. Bottom of 4th. 7-5 Sox

Ramon Santiago pops weakly to Uribe at short, one out in bottom of the 4th.

Contreras...:banghead

Ichiro up. Hits a one hopper off Iguchi's glove and into left. He reached first safe in the first by getting hit. I don't know if it was an error or not, as I just lost the feed. I will try to get it back.

Feed back up and so is Sexton. Sexton walks, bases loaded. Bret Boone up. I am guessing there are 2 outs. Ball 4. 7-6. Randy Winn on third, Sexton to second. Bullpen scrambling. 87 pitches so far for Contreras. Base hit for Ibanez. 8-7 Seattle. 1st and 3rd. Wilson up.

7 Seattle hits so far. So wildness has really done in Contreras. Seattle tries a double steal and Boone is nailed at the plate. One way to get out of the inning. Stick a fork in Contreras.

Ozzie has gotta be pissed. He really wanted a grand total of 2 nice efforts in a row from Contreras. Borchard bounces out on first pitch of 5th to third. One out. Uribe strikes out. 2 away. Ozuna up. He is 24 for 45. Yowzers! :headbang
