Twins released third baseman Eric Munson.

That the Twins locked themselves into a two-year deal with Juan Castro is really going to hurt their bench now that it seems Jason Bartlett will be the starting shortstop. Between Castro, Luis Rivas and Nick Punto, they're committing three roster spots to infielders that just don't figure to hit. Munson had a poor spring, going just 7-for-39, but he still would have been a useful bat off the bench. Another team will pick him up.

I thought munson'ing meant pulling a cubs-caliber choke?

Why does Munson keep getting dumped? Is he never going to make it?

I always thought he'd be a decent player, I don't know though anymore.
