I went to practice while in Chicago. You want to soak up this experience as much as possible. If you can get out of work or have nothing else to do, watching the teams practice is pretty cool, i think.

I believe Minnesota may have passed them this past year. That could just be for undergrads though, it was just something I read casually on Gleeman's site. OSU was the largest for a long time.
