March 30, 200521 yr New show on NBC tuesday nites, has anyone else watched it yet? I loved it. It is a lot like the movie "Office Space" without the whole love interest thing going on. It is on after Scrubs and before Law & Order SVU. I highly recommend checking it out, if you have not.
March 30, 200521 yr I saw the last 15 minutes of it last week and thought it was pretty friggin' funny. I plan to watch it tonight now. I am VERY curious though as to how the UK original is, since supposedly the guy who stars in that one is beyond great and unlike anybody that has ever been on TV before. I guess that guy IS the show. I know you can get the DVD's, so they will be going into my Netflix queue as soon as it dwindles down a bit.
March 30, 200521 yr I've seen the first season of the British version on BBC. No idea what the Americanized product is like, but the previous incarnation was pretty funny.
March 30, 200521 yr See my avatar. The BBC version will always be king. The first episode of the US version was almost exactly the first episode of the UK version word for word. I was glad to see last night's episode of the US version only stole a few jokes from the orignal. Hopefully it starts to pave its own way even more.

I'd love to see the US version, to see how they've tweaked the show to suit a different audience. Hopefully they did a better job with The Office, than they did with "Coupling" , although I personally hated Coupling - a "Friends" wannabe, if ever I've seen one.
