The offense is alot better than people have been saying. steve stone was on local radio here yesterday and said the same thing. basically said the sox will be a better and more consistent offensive team than anyone has given them credit for. also called iguchi the "prototypical two-hole hitter" or something to that affect. stone was very positive about the sox and thought they'd improved their defense as well. he was sketchy on the starting pitching.
March 30, 200521 yr Buehrle is a class act. A real joy to have on the team. I agree with Stone's comments, but I've always believed a strong bullpen is more important than a strong rotation. I use the Twins as an example...two strong pitchers, three very iffy ones and one hell of a bullpen.
