Schedule vs. Twins

Featured Replies

Did anyone notice that we have a two game stint with them in a week and then we don't see the Twins again until August & September? How does everybody feel about this?

I think I will randomly add this smilie.

I don't like it. I'd much rather see a guy like Johan Santana in the 1st half rather than the 2nd. And given our fast start against them, I would again rather be playing them while we still have the confidence level against them and not have to regain that level again.

Also while they don't have Silva I'd like to face them.

Pretty interesting. That's good reasoning to still stay grounded with the early success this ballclub is having. There's a lot of baseball to be played between now and then. We'll have 15 games with them in the final 2 months, and that's an easy way to gain or lose ground in the standings in a hurry.

One more cliche, just to make this a chiche-y post.....It's a marathon, not a sprint. :P

We need to worry about the Indians and Tigers just as much as we need to worry about the Twins.

We'll have our hands full, believe me.

that is really weird tho... we had 19 games with them last year if i remember... that sucks that our games with them are all down the stretch...

I don't think it matters. If you play baseball the way it should be played (like we have in this very small sample), you'll generally beat the team you're playing that day or night. It matters not if you beat the Twinkies and go to Tampa and play like the Sox have in recent years. We have the makings of a solid rotation and good defense. That's what matters, not who we're playing when.

BTW, BMAC had a solid start last night. I don't know if that's been posted, but it was 7 strong innings, 10 Ks I think. This is part of the confidence we can have in our rotation.

any1 notice we only play the twins 18 times this year? got to love those2 4 game series with scammy and the o's

I'd rather get 3 or 4 series done with the Twins in April, May, and June. Rather than have to play them 13 or so times in August and September.

I disagree 100 percent but that's why they play the games :D

I guess I'd just prefere to worry about the games we play and no one else right now. We don't really know how well any of the teams in our division are going to be, except the Royals, they probably will struggle.
