April 12, 200521 yr Yes he does... Rich (Key West, FL.): Peter, At the completion of the 1st week of baseball has there been any player or team that has really suprised you thus far? Thanks Peter Gammons: (4:10 PM ET ) I would say the team that has surprised me the most in a positive manner are the White Sox. Their pitching has been outstanding, and they are playing very hard. I think the individual that stands out is Josh Beckett who has yet to be scored upon, if he keeps it up, he is going to win at least 20 games Translation: Maybe we'll have to mention them on ESPN in discussion about the AL Central.
April 12, 200521 yr ya i just saw it. i had to read it again though to make sure it didnt say red sox
April 12, 200521 yr I could really care less about ESPN, according to them, there is 4 teams in major league baseball, the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, and the Barry Bonds'. They'll have to talk about us when we're in the playoffs.

April 12, 200521 yr I want everyone to not mention us, I think its better when we are not expected to win everything. We have ben favored for years now, I like that everyone thinks we suck. It helps us win. I think this team needs a chip on their shoulder.
April 12, 200521 yr becketts a stud plain and simple <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Until he gets a blister on his finger...
April 13, 200521 yr Peter Gammons is a douchebag. I can't stand the baseball tonight guys but because I love baseball I watch it to see the highlights, their opinions are usually so biased it's sick. Edited April 13, 200521 yr by Pauly8509CWS
April 13, 200521 yr It feels weird and awkward to get any sort of national recognition. I'm not used to it, and I don't like it...
