OK.. it's down to cruising from Tampa to Cozumel to the Grand Cayman and back to Tampa.. or Miami to the Grand Cayman to Ohco Rios and back.. or LA to Puerto Vallarta to Mazatlan to Cabo and back... or the final choice.. San Juan to St John to Dominica to Barbados to Aruba and back..

Anyone been to these places reciently and have any thoughts...??

I went to the Grand Cayman 10 years ago and liked it.. also.. is Cozumel like Cancun..? We really didn't like Cancun when we were there in January.

TIA guys! :cheers

That and the Aruba trip are the ones getting most of the rave reviews.

I have not been on a cruise in 10 years.. have you, or anyone..? The line is Carnival.. any bad/good stories about them..??

Carnival cruises have been pretty good... I have been on one cruise and it was a Carnival....Awesome ship...tons of s*** to do on them.

Edited by EvilJester99

I heard the cazumal cruise is really nice. I have a friend/co-worker that goes on a cruise every year and that was by far his favorite. He stayed on whatever that new ship is (I think it was built like 2 years ago, thats when he went) and at the time I think it was the largets in the world.

He said it was awesome. I don't remember which cruiseline it was and he leaves today for another cruise...this one of the panama canal, but were laughing at work because he doesn't even go through the panama canal.

Ok good.. our biggest fear is something wrong with the food.

Jason.. I was sure you would suggest the one going out of LA.. I thought it was you that had been to Cabo.?

I've been to a lot of places out of the country.

For me it's difficult to choose because I don't like cruises. I like to be on my own schedule and agenda. That's just me, :huh

Out of all the places you mentioned, the only place I've been is the one you didn't like ... Cancun.

Ya, I was at Cabo once (or Cancun, I forget) but I'm not a fan of going to Mexico at all, LOL. I've had a bad experience there and don't ever want a repeat. Cabo is nice but from what I hear cruises are way better. I remember hearing the food is awesome, all you can eat too and I just think its got to be really cool going to a new island or place every day and spending time there then coming back on the ship at night and doing all the cool s*** onboard.

Hell now that I think about it, I don't remember which of Cabo or Cancun I've been too.

Edit: Actually steff, after looking at the one out of LA, thats probably the cruise I'd least want to go on, LOL. Matalazan could be interesting but for some reason I think thats because if I recall there is a lot of ancient buildings there from the old civilizations. Can't remember that exactly and I may be thinking of something else.

But hell it depends on your alls prefences.

I went on a cruise last year to Cozumel. Cozumel is a fantastic place, but I've never been to Cancun so I can't compare. Cozumel seems less tourist-y than other places in Mexico from what I know about places like Cancun. Take a 10-minute ferry over to Playa del Carmen, it is beautiful there. We also went to the ruins at Tulum and Kohunlich, if you're into that sort of thing.

Tulum was cool. But I'm a history freak anyway.

Thats always been my fear as well...the food you hear about people getting sick a lot lately...its freaky. Plus not to mention motion sickness or sea sickness...these boats have some of the best stablizers on them but you can still feel the rocking of the ocean....

I'm good with the motion thing. Never gotten sick on deep sea fishing boats, of course now that I say that I'll spend the entire trip sick as a dog.. :puke

I guess there is nothing we can do about the food.. just hope that everything is fine.
