It's hard to describe just how fat and lazy Mike Williams has become. He dropped a pass that could have won Oakland the game a few weeks ago and was cut right after, I couldn't help but smile. He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL with his work ethic. I'll never understand how these guys can be SO lazy that it costs them millions.

Who want to take: Mike Williams

Who I think we will take and will dislike horribly: Benson

At least he got the second part right.

I still haven't given up on Benson though. What are you going to do, shoot me?

I really wanted Derek Johnson, our linebackers all 3 would be just so beastly.... plus it would lessen the blow a lot when/if Briggs leaves in f/a.

I did originally as well.

But, he wasn't projected to the Bears pick. He was considered more of a midround guy.

How about Derek Anderson next year as QB?

I think Williams may have been better if he hadn't had that year of limbo between USC and the NFL.

He needed that extra learning year.

You're prepared to give up a first rounder in '08 and '09?

Based on recent 1st round picks by the Bears, yes!

A guy with the ability to throw 30 TDs in a season is more valuable than a guy that might be good in a few years.

I don't like the idea of giving up a first-round pick for Anderson, but we'd only have to give up one first, plus a third. He's only a restricted fa, and they'll put the top tender on him (1st + 3rd compensation).

At the time I wanted Mike Williams bad, followed by Braylon, I most certainly did not want Ced and I stand by that today.

The farther along the season goes the more and more I think the Browns are gonna match whatever offer they get for Anderson and pass on the first and third rounders.

Eh...if you really want someone, you can always get creative with a poison pill. I'm not saying the Bears would use that tactic, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did.

How about no.
