April 23, 200520 yr Nice job tonight guys! Garcia had a solid line for the W. The offense, with the exception of the middle guys, was awesome tonight. 13-4.
April 23, 200520 yr Damn.......couldn't finish the last PbP post and a WS winner thread is already up! Nice!
April 23, 200520 yr Nice job, Freddy! Excellent job, Scott! Keep it up, Sox! And that was the most dull last-play of the game call by Hawk that I've ever heard.
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) A very solid, boring game (which is a welcome change) As long as the score is on out favor!
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Nice job, Freddy! Excellent job, Scott! Keep it up, Sox! And that was the most dull last-play of the game call by Hawk that I've ever heard. "That'll end it. Sox win." Pretty much what it consisted of lol.
April 23, 200520 yr THE PANIAGUA CURSE IS OVER!!! 3 GAME LEAD OVER THE TWINKIES!!! We will have the best record in baseball if the Dodgers lose to the Rockies. Edited April 23, 200520 yr by Jabroni
April 23, 200520 yr And there's the brain behind this team. This is exactly what Kenny and Ozzie meant behind building this team. They didn't hit a homerun today, all seven scored via singles/sac flies/errors. Yet, the next night, they'll score all their runs via the longball. I think this is the 'balance' that Kenny likes to talk about. Whether or not this will work -- well, it's worked so far. And it's good to see that we aren't relying on four guys, and living and dying by those four guys. No complaining here.
April 23, 200520 yr Holy s*** 8 runs and no homers?? This is bizarro season Edited April 23, 200520 yr by T R U
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Holy s*** 8 runs and no homers?? This is bizarro season If the wind wasn't being such a b**** tonight Crede and Pierzinski would both of had Home Runs. But I guess it's better that they didn't, this way they show off their small ball.
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) If the wind wasn't being such a b**** tonight Crede and Pierzinski would both of had Home Runs. But I guess it's better that they didn't, this way they show off their small ball. Uribe woulda had 2 as well.
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) Uribe woulda had 2 as well. Oh ya I forgot about that, he had the foul ball and the sac fly that were both crushed.

April 23, 200520 yr http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250422107 Chicago's 13-4 record matches the best start in team history set in 1912, 1919 and 1935. The White Sox are 7-2 on the road, their best road start since the 1982 club also went 7-2. If the Sox win tomorrow, it's the best start in White Sox history.
April 23, 200520 yr IT'S 1919 ALL OVER AGAIN BABY!!! Oh...wait...ummm...what happened back then??? Oh, ummm... IT'S 1935 (or 1912...take your pick) ALL OVER AGAIN BABY!!! Edited April 23, 200520 yr by Kid Gleason
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Be Good @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Our bottom of the lineup as a whole, do very well tonight! 7, 8, 9, 1 and 2 carried us tonight great production out of Uribe and Crede especially.
April 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) ...great production out of Uribe and Crede especially. That second name just looks so odd in there in the past, but this year it is becoming what we expect. I'm still confused by this.
April 23, 200520 yr Apparently, the new nickname for Crede is "The Comet", as suggested by a former schoolmate of Crede's on Mac, Jerko, and Harry show. The question is, will it stick?
April 23, 200520 yr Don't comets eventually crash and burn or fade away? How about something a little more permanent?
