that was a terrible swing on that single for a run driven in and putting him on base so he could score

he should have taken that pitch and his swing is just horrible

Trade PK....... Keep CLee...... lol

That's exactly what I would do.

Right now I don't want to trade anyone. I love this ballclub. We are such a deep team and are going to win it all. :headbang

Also, Konerko looked a lot better today, going opposite field and getting better swings. He is still a few games away I think, but sometime next week you should see him get into a groove.

Yeah, Carlos is starting to hit well -- let's trade him.

What stupid logic.

Why would you trade him if he starts doing well? And what do we need right now? A CF? I'm not willing to trade a guy with Carlos' talent for a CF when we've got a perfectly capable Aaron Rowand (who, with enough AB's, will be just fine) and Armando Rios as his backup.

Unless someone is going to offer us a #3 or #4 pitcher for Carlos (which I don't see happening), we'd be better served to keep him and let him do his thing and help us win. He's starting to turn the corner.

Carlos is starting to hit better....I like that.

I'm still not a big fan of his.

I'm still not a big fan of his.

Not only is his offense starting to come to life, he's playing very well in LF.

I don't care what some of you say about his defense because no matter what he does, in your mind, he'll always suck. But today he made a VERY nice sliding catch to end the game, and earlier in the game he charged a ball hard and prevented a run from scoring on a single. And yesterday he made a very nice play and nearly got Omar on a ball that he hit down the line. Carlos' arm is very accurate and he is actually out there hustling. You can't fault a guy for that - and if you do, you're a fool.

I'll admit it....Carlos is playing better in LF too. He still has limited range though.

Range is something that you can't really improve. You can to a certain extent, but Carlos is doing all he can to make up for it by RUNNING to balls hit into the corner, and by CHARGING basehits and trying to prevent guys from scoring from 2nd on a single. He seems to be very proficient at making sliding/diving catches also. He's made 2 or 3 very nice ones already this year, and has seemed to get them with regularity throughout his career with the Sox.

He ended today with a 3-run HR and a great catch...hopefully he will carry that momentum into tomorrow's game.

You can definately improve range, but you can't do it by getting faster, you can only do it by getting better jumps and recognizing where the ball is going better.

Therefor, Carlos was terrible at that when he first came up and now he is really improving at it. I have given Carlos plenty of credit for improving defensively and players don't seem to want to run on him. He has worked hard and has taken great pride in his improving defense.

Also, he looked solid at the plate again today. I am hard on Carlos only because I think he can be so damn good, either way I'm not really in favor of moving him. I'm happy with our entire team and I do believe Rowand can play but I've just been so dissapointed by his swing. He had some good hacks today though.

Olivo had an awesome game today. I loved his hustle. His speed/hustlee caused a few things to happen today.

Same here. We are playing some great baseball right now. Our pitching looks better than it has been for years. Our offense is still off at times, but we're scoring the runs and getting the job done.

I just hope that we can do the same against the Twins, Yankees, A's, Angels, Mariners...

Lee hit a double today, a HR, walked on 4 pitches (why no dissection of that AB????? ) and made a nice catch to end the game. Where's all the love Lee-Haters?

Oops..... that was a single hit by Lee..... not a double. It SHOULD have been a double but Konerko is slow

because he was a 3rd basemen and then moved to left its gonna take awhile to get adjusted. it seems like alot of you guys are hopin on the carlos lee bandwagon now that he is doin better.

take a while??...i guess..its been 5 years now...newsflasg gutys..this carlos came up as a 3rd baseman so its an excuse for his poor fielding doesnt fly anymore...chipper accomplished it from day one,,albert pujhols too

one thing ill say about carlos defensively..he made a throw in the KC from the outfield wall on the fly to 2nd base..and it wasnt that much of a rainbow..its the best throw ive ever seen him make...but still a few times this year guys ahve turned singles into doubles on him where if a jacque jones was out there i doubt they even challenge...but its an improvement

Carlos has had 2 ok games all year , he will never be any better than he is now in the outfield. I hope he plays well enough to make him tradeable.

I have always liked CLee's potential and I would like him too if he ever decides to play up to it.
