May 5, 200520 yr FROM ROTOWORLD: Dodgers placed third baseman Jose Valentin on the 15-day disabled list with three torn ligaments in his right knee. He didn't tear the big one, but it looks like he'll be out until the All-Star break. The Dodgers currently have three options at third base in Norihiro Nakamura, Olmedo Saenz and Mike Edwards. Another one, Antonio Perez, figures to come off the DL in a couple of weeks. Expect Nakamura to get the majority of the time for now, mainly because he's the best defensive player in the group. It would be tempting to use Saenz since he's off to such a nice start, but he no longer has the mobility to be even a decent defender at the hot corner. May. 4 - 9:20 pm et

May 5, 200520 yr Jose's wrist/hand wasn't right anyway... He got hit there a week or so ago. When he got hit, I was sure he was gone. I thought he had broken something. He hasn't been right since that night. I think he had 2 hits since then, (about a week and a half ago)

May 6, 200520 yr Wow... that’s too bad for Jose. I hope he recovers quickly and gets back to playing. That way he can strike out 3 out of 4 times.
