May 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 5, 2005 -> 09:45 AM) I got it...I got it... But for bonus points what is the importance of another holiday The Dia de los Muertes???? I've seen too many videos on that day. They celebrate the lives of deceased relatives/friends. Eat their favorite foods, visit their grave, etc.
May 5, 200520 yr I had to ask the question, because I always laugh at all the people getting drunk at Hacienda on the 5th of May, pounding Margaritas and Coronas, yet they have no idea why. I find it pretty entertaining.
May 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:39 AM) This has to be the ultimate Cinco de Mayo... 05/05/05 Respectfully disagree. My mother was born on 5/5/55 She got a big birthday call this morning.

I find it pretty entertaining. Not as bad as one of my co-workers yesterday who asked me and I quote, "Did we miss the 'cincademayo" holiday this year?" I was stunned till I remembered that my accounting firm has about as much ethnic diversity as a KKK rally...

May 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 5, 2005 -> 09:53 AM) Respectfully disagree. My mother was born on 5/5/55 She got a big birthday call this morning. uh oh, the big 5 O. My mom turns 50 in exactly 7 months, I can't wait, haha.
May 5, 200520 yr I actually pointed out to my coworkers at the appropriate time that it was 05:05:05 05/05/05.
May 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 5, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) bonus question.........and why do we celebrate it in America? Because drinking is part of the celebration. Same reason we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. If Flag Day included alcohol, we'd celebrate Flag Day like a muthaf***a. No green included or intended.

I find it pretty entertaining. Hell isn't that like most of the other "holidays"???
May 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(The Critic @ May 5, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) Because drinking is part of the celebration. Same reason we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. If Flag Day included alcohol, we'd celebrate Flag Day like a muthaf***a. No green included or intended. Its funny how we can take someone else's ethic holiday, add alcohol, and then everyone celebrates it.
