Rick B. on 670 says it is MAC against Zambrano is this true?

I heard it to.

Said Contreras will now go on Sunday.

Man I would really like to know what is going on.

WTF is going on?

OH GOD YES. When a friend (cub fan) invited me to the game cause one of his buddies couldn't make it, I had no idea I would be seeing BMac's first career start in the majors.

That was the original report on ESPN 1000 at 6PM too... I just inserted my own intuition, because levine said that BMAC was starting for Contreras, and I was sure that wasn't right. He later said that it would be for El Duque...

There is some logic behind this, Contreras will now go on 6 days rest, as will McCarthy. The other way BMAC would have had a long rest, which he's not used too. That's one thing we did wrong last year, we jerked around the callups with 3 day, 9 day, 10 rests. It was royally f***ed up last year.

Funny after all those who said we were overreacting to Duque's pitch/inning counts. THis is no surprise

I knew the old man would go down sometime.... but I thought he would make it through June at least.... I guess it makes sense there is something wrong with him after that texas start which was ugly.

Btw even though he was 5-1 he was probably our worse pitcher of the season so far. Got out of a lot of jams early which in the long run will come back to haunt you giving up so many hits and walks and he always tired out our bullpen.

I think they are just going to give him a couple weeks rest to get him back up to snuff, Im sure they will do this once in awhile. His tired arm will get better for another 5-1 run.
