How is 1 player going to guarantee us a World Series Ring? Steinbrenner would have signed him already.

lets say a player like Ichrio for just the rest of this year

no.

I'd rather be good for years than win one series.

I WOULD TRADE EVERY PLAYER ON THIS TEAM COMBINED FOR ANY ONE PLAYER THAT COULD GET US A WORLD SERIES RING.

I WOULD TAKE 1 WORLD SERIES RING FOLLOWED BY 100 LAST PLACE SEASONS.

I JUST WANT TO WIN. WIN ONE. WIN SOMETHING. WIN NOW.

My Grandpa is 78, My Father is 52... both White Sox Fans who like me have never experienced just one World Series Win. I would give just about anything to win even just once.

Hell yeah. They can have BMac. Give us the ring. No doubt about it. In a second. For sure. Most definitely. You get the point. Being above average gets you nowhere. Its all about the ring.

this question is pointless.

You can't guarantee anything.

:cheers :drink

^^^^What he said.

The White Sox have finished in either second or first in 8 of the 9 years that they have been in the AL Central and what do we have to show for it. s***, we have absolutely nothing to show for it. I am sick of being just above average ever year and having it get us nowhere. If we won a ring this year and then didn't do s*** for the rest of time I would die a happy man.

I'd give my right nut!

I wouldn't, I hold both my nuts sacred.

Im a little confused how one player can guarantee us a WS rings... maybe a healthy bonds, so we can trade B-Mac for Bonds if he recovers fully lol... but that still doesnt guarantee it, dumb thread :chair

Yep, there is no one player that can make us win it all.

How about "Would you get rid of a possible stud starting pitcher if it meant you would win a World Series." - that's the best I can come up with.

You can't take hypothetical questions too literally.

what? isn;t the whole idea to win the world series? It takes 100 years sometimes to win one and you would rather have years of buls*** second place finishes? i don't get people soemthimes. i really don't

I am sure this is all hypothetical, but it was certianly interesting to hear peoples opinions.

Whatever it takes to win a series i'd do it.

So you'd lick a toilet-seat that Bartolo Colon s*** on then cut off your left nut then run naked through Chicago in a blizzard followed by a hot-dog eating contest with the Fridge???

Except BMac is a key to the Sox getting to the playoffs and possibly the WS this year, as insurance in case of injury. So he wouldn't be traded, as they'd need him for Aug, and Sept.

Well Id like to win one but if it meant years of last place finishes like the royals... than Id have to think about it, because i wouldnt be able to stand to watch a royal like team.... it would probably take off 5 years of my life.

then after you claim the ring don't watch anymore until they are better. There that is really simple. i can hang my hat on a world series for years. Did the same with tthe Bears. Still watch them though even though they suck, now I am in fantasy football so I watch players.

Worst.Thread.Ever.

If I were a mod I would have locked this thread a long time ago. The thread title says it all.

Why did I just feel like I morphed into the Rowand/Devil commerical?
