Yeah it was really funny when DJ out of no where was like That just sucks... overall it wasnt great but I dont mind it, i guess im just not as picky as all of you.

 

I tell you what though Im looking forward to Jack Mcdowell tommorow... Ive actually seen him pitch so should be fun to watch him announce, also should be cool to have KW in the booth a couple innings.

I think if DJ and the Pope had more time together in the booth they would be better. It seems like the Pope is not very comfortable and DJ's always trying to get him to open up and say something.

 

However, nothing beats the Hawkeroo.

I love Hawk as well, but I think Rooney and Farmer as so much better to listen to, they are the best in the biz as far as I am concerned. If they did TV too, I would be happy.

Hawk has to stay on TV he is 2 great to ever be replaced... but I have to say its getting annoying if you go to the team we are facing message boards there is almost always 1 thread about how they hate our announcers lol.

 

Thing that gets pointed out the most is how he calls us good guys and the other team bad guys.

DJ is starting to grow on me. He is so random it can be funny sometimes. He doesn't have too much baseball knowledge like Hawk, but he isn't a huge homer either.

To be honest, DJ has grown on me a bit as well. I still don't think he's a very good announcer, but he can be dopey enough at times to be borderline funny. Not to mention that he's become more of a straight shooter over the past year. His objectivity compliments Hawks homerness quite well.
