May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(rangercal @ May 28, 2005 -> 03:34 AM) Im sorry, I missed it. how does this help the sox? B/c we play them again later in the season.
May 28, 200520 yr Do you think there's really anyone here who doesn't know who Rick Sutcliffe is? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just trying to be accurate.
May 28, 200520 yr B/c we play them again later in the season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We won't be seeing Prior now.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) B/c we play them again later in the season. You know they would make sure prior starts against us even if they had Mil or cin the next series.
May 28, 200520 yr You know they would make sure prior starts against us even if they had Mil or cin the next series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dusty could be tempted to pitch Prior on a broken elbow. I wouldn't put it past him.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) We won't be seeing Prior now. Well if zambrano keeps his computer habits going (maybe sending love emails to Kyle farnsworth at match.com) he may miss us too
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Dusty could be tempted to pitch Prior on a broken elbow. I wouldn't put it past him. I don't think he would let the pitch count get over 125 this time though . More like 110ish
May 28, 200520 yr Cubs.com is now reporting the fracture... "Prior's status uncertain after MRI Exam reportedly shows break after X-ray was negative" http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/new...t=.jsp&c_id=chc I guess it's true. Edited May 28, 200520 yr by Jabroni
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) Cubs.com is now reporting the fracture... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/new...t=.jsp&c_id=chc I guess it's true. so a rotation of zambrano, maddux, mitre, rusch, and dempster? Edited May 28, 200520 yr by rangercal
May 28, 200520 yr so a rotation of zambrano, maddux, mitre, rusch, and dempster? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zambrano Maddux Rusch Mitre Wellemeyer They may keep Dumpster as their closer and replace Wellemeyer with Wood when he's finally healthy.
May 28, 200520 yr does anyone else notice all the cub freak injuries seem to happen at wrigley? choi in 03 mueller in 01 prior and giles running into each other in 03 I know Im missing more , I just had 5 heine's so I can't think.
May 28, 200520 yr does anyone else notice all the cub freak injuries seem to happen at wrigley? choi in 03 mueller in 01 prior and giles running into each other in 03 I know Im missing more , I just had 5 heine's so I can't think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a curse! That's why the Cubs players can't even stand playing there, as told by that article in the Tribune!
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 28, 2005 -> 03:42 AM) They may keep Dumpster as their closer and replace Wellemeyer with Wood when he's temporarily healthy. An obvious oversight. Type more carefully, now.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(rangercal @ May 28, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) Well if zambrano keeps his computer habits going (maybe sending love emails to Kyle farnsworth at match.com) he may miss us too Lol, nice way to combine the 2 stories.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Just watched the play for the first time on MLB.com. Man, that was brutal. yeah, they keep saying it hit between his bones, that bulls*** because then it wouldnt have bounced off so high
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ May 28, 2005 -> 03:49 AM) yeah, they keep saying it hit between his bones, that bulls*** because then it wouldnt have bounced off so high For some reason I doubt that its a "slight" fracture. Cause after watching that, if his elbows fractured at all, its fractured big time. Either way though, it ain't good.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) There's got to be a bone break/fracture there. The Cubs are probably just f***ing around about injuries again. Classless tools. What a prediction! That really sucks for Mark.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 28, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) 19 pages? 19 f***ing pages? Slow day.
May 28, 200520 yr I hate the Flubbs as much or more than anybody here but I never want to see anyone get seriously hurt under any circumstance. I really REALLY hope Prior is ok and back out there soon, although from just seeing the video once and not having heard anything else it looks like he's gonna be down a while.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 27, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) It may be just that time to get our Cubs injury translator out. Let's look at the possble outcomes: Bruised Elbow, may miss a start = Tommy John Surgery, out a year and a half Muscle Tighness, may miss a start = Torn Rotator Cuff, Career in doubt Inflamation, will miss 2 or 3 starts = Reconstructive sugery, out for the year Broken arm, out 2-3 months = Death RIP Mark Prior then?
May 28, 200520 yr Speaking of freak pitching injuries, and I didn't see a thread title about this though it might be hidden in another thread somewhere ... so don't crucify me if it is ..... Rick Helling, while pitching in Nashville had his left (non-pitching) arm IMPALED by the shard from a broken bat. All the I have heard about the severity of the injury is that it was not life threatening.
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) Zambrano Maddux Rusch Mitre Wellemeyer HOW'S THIS FOR STARTERS? ...I'm thinking we won't see THAT ad campaign again anytime soon...
