Damaso needs to go on the DL. I was at the game last night and i got to watch him suck it up in person. He would throw one strike, then 3 balls right after. There is something wrong with him, but hopefully it isn't serious.

He was just missing his targets way to often.

Quick stats on Brower: 2W-1L, 6.53 ERA, .320 BAA, 1.81 WHIP. In other words, not good.

 

He's had a few good seasons before this year, but that makes him no different than Vizcaino. Maybe the Sox see a flaw in his delivery and think they can fix it? Otherwise, I don't see a reason to bring him in.

It's worth a shot though, since AL hitters haven't seen much of his stuff, and well we need any help we can get in the bullpen.

Id give it a shot, so I could put Marte on the DL and if it dosent work realese or trade him when Marte gets back.

I wonder if Seattle would be willing to part with Jeff Nelson. I know a lot of people were asking for him when he was let loose by the Yanks. Just conjecture here nothing solid to go on but he would look much better than Brower me thinks....

I'd do it, he was having a rough year so far and could turn it around.

That's a big if. Any trade is a risk, regardless of the type of season a player is having. Rarely is talent acquired for nothing. When it does happen, it's almost always unexpected. Taking risks are part of being a GM, but the successful ones know how to minimize those risks. JR didn't build his fortune by playing the lottery, and KW isn't going to build the team by gambling on a player who may or may not turn it around.
