Freddy Guzman was light out today AND we didn't have to use Chad Hermanson.

Nothing would be better than to destroy him without any rehab.

Well McCarthy held his own the last time he faced Prior...but this time around I wouldn't be so sure. Either way, you can't take McCarthy's first start away from him. He pitched well at Wrigley.

So, was he mixing Hermanson up with Chad Hutchinson when he said that? That's the only name that I can think of that would make some sense.

I certainly remember, I was there.

But still, he had success against the Cubs even if the elements played a role. Do I want him to start on sunday? No, Garland is def. the choice, I'm just trying to say that McCarthy has looked good against the Cubs before.

Yeah, who would really want to see McCarthy pitching on Sunday against Prior at the Cell, on a blazing hot day, with the wind blowing out? He would probably give up 6 homers. I'd rather have the groundball pitcher going in those kind of longball conditions.

Hopefully next time everyone clobbers their pitchers so he can remember who f***ed him up. Another 10 run inning would probably sew everyones names into his head correctly.
