Marte has an inflamed left trapezius; he was placed on the DL retroactive to June 27. He is 3-3 this season with a 2.81 ERA and 29 strikeouts. He leads the Sox with 34 appearances this season. Walker, 28, was 0-2 with a 5.11 ERA and two saves in 29 appearances with Charlotte. The 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pounder was 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA in four games during his first stint with the Sox this season. He allowed two hits and no runs in his first three times out, May 14 and 15 against Baltimore and May 27 at Texas, but he gave up 4 runs on three hits and a walk against Anaheim on June 1, his last appearance. June 30, 200520 yr This move is all ozzie, he loves playing the matchup bulls*** so he needs another lefty. Baj or Jenks deserve a promotion so much more then Walker it's ridiculous, actually if they wanted a lefty why not Munoz??? Well, hopefully this doesn't bite us in the ass.

You know it won't. Kenny and Ozzie are just gonna put this thing into cruise control, keeping both McCarthy and Walker on the roster until after the all-star break. It's ok. Marte has been a non-factor as of late and McCarthy has kept us in a position to win games. We'll survive.
