My guess is he won't be in Bristol long.

I'd agree with that. I think you'll see him get a few outings there and have him work up his stamina and than you'll see him in Kanny. He could even get a stop in Great Falls, but I highly doubt the Sox would do that (it usually appears guys are in GF or Bristol and the only time they go to the other is if they repeat rookie ball the next year).

How old is Brooks? Wasn't he a draft eligible sophomore?

Ya, without looking it up I think so. Sox drafted him two years ago and thought he had a dynomite arm. Obviously they still feel he did. He was supposedly a tough sign and most teams passed him by and he really wasn't on many teams radars because of this.

 

However, since the Sox had drafted him they obviously were privy to a little more information and felt he would be a good choice.
