Ozzie Montana
I heard about it on ''Rain Delay Theater'' on AM1000. A caller mentioned this and I got to wondering, maybe its not a bad that Ozzie is putting Jenks in the tight games against big time hitters. Jenks is slowly gaining experience and could become very valuable if Hermy goes down. Edited August 15, 2005 by Ozzie Montana

I agree however Ozzie will probably use his latin lover Marte. :fyou Ozzie

aboz56
if Hermanson goes down, we are in deep trouble late in games. I guess we'd use Cliff as the closer, but that makes it essential for Cotts/Marte/Jenks to be able to handle the 7th and the 8th. I surely don't trust Jizz or Adkins. If Hermy went to the DL, who would be called up? Doesn't seem like Baj is going to get a shot, although he is the logical choice.

Yeah really, from the signs given by the sox Baj will not be given a shot.

Heads22
QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Yeah really, from the signs given by the sox Baj will not be given a shot. Yup, if Hermey takes a DL stint, and Baj isn't called up, he might as well ask for a trade.

Why would you give him a shot? You've got Kevin Walker tearing s*** up in AAA.
kev211
Id say put hermy on the DL now try out Jenks. So basically hermy is fresh for the playoffs.

ChiSox_Sonix
If Hermy does go down, the only real logical choice is Baj. However, given the Sox's refusal to call him up despite his near 1.00 ERA, I guess the only other choices would be Fields or Diaz. I really dunno who else they'd call up. fathom
I don't think we should put Hermanson on the DL until the end of August. Then, we can promote 2 or 3 relievers with the September call-ups. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the idea of just shutting down players like Pods and Hermanson while the division has still not been clinched. There's no better way to have a prolonged slump than to blow leads late in a game. If you DL Hermanson, you alter the entire bullpen.
